District 15 Intergroup Service Committee
The Intergroup Central Office was established to carry out certain functions common to all the groups of District 15 in West Pasco / Tarpon Springs area. Our mission is to provide a physical location for Alcoholics Anonymous and maintain a direct contact for the still suffering alcoholic. The office is maintained, supervised, and supported by District 15 AA group volunteers. Service at Intergroup usually consists of answering the Intergroup’s phones, arranging A.A. member Twelfth-Step contacts for newcomers, helping callers to get to meetings and organizing and distributing literature.
The central office is often where the sick alcoholic first calls for AA help. Our phones and Hotline service are covered 24 hours a day by volunteers willing to carry the message of AA’s recovery program to the alcoholic. We coordinate 12th Step calls with a contact list of people willing to share their experience, strength, and hope with the newcomer.
The Intergroup Rep is a trusted servant from your group who volunteers to meet with other group members at a monthly Intergroup meeting. They report back to their group on the business of Intergroup and vote their group’s conscience requiring group concerns and decisions.
Intergroup maintains the 24-Hour Hotline (727-847-0777) which makes A.A. available to anyone in the community who may have a problem with alcohol.
Book Store hours are 10am – 5pm, Monday through Friday and Saturday 10am – 1pm.
Intergroup Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm. Intergroup Representatives, Alternates and other interested A.A.’s are invited to attend.
